Dummy Downhill & Media Challenge Saturday March 17, 2012
Entry Fee:
• $10.00 per dummy before Mar 10, 2012
• $15.00 per dummy after Mar 10 until March 17, 2012
Schedule:
• 1:00pm ~ Dummy Weigh-In
• 2:00pm ~ Dummy Downhill
• 3:00pm ~ Surviving Dummy Display and Prize Presentation
Judging:
A panel of judges will score Dummies on originality at 1:00pm. This will comprise 50% of the total score. A panel of judges will also score the Dummies on a downhill run at 2:00pm. The downhill run comprises the other 50% of the total score. During the downhill, judges will score for a straight approach to the jump, the height the Dummy achieves and the landing. All criteria is totally subjective.
Rules:
1. No living cells allowed in race
2. No remote controls or human contact with dummy allowed during race
3. Dimensions: Not Higher than 6 feet, Not lower than 3 feet, Not wider than 3 feet at base, Volume/weight up to 100 lbs.MUST PASS WEIGH IN
4. The Dummy must be mounted on one snowboard or two skis
5. Dummy names must be suitable for publication
6. Gravel and/or dirt may not be used to weigh down dummy
7. No explosives or fire involved in the dummy’s design or function
8. Dummies can be disqualified for safety reasons
9. Dummies must be submitted at Nitehawk Recreation Area by 12:00 noon on March 10, 2012.
Prizes:
Open Class (All businesses, & individuals will be combined for the event)
1st Place Prize – Two Adult 6for5 Punch Passes (value $350.00)
2nd Place Prize – $150.00 in Nitehawk Gift Cards.
3rd Place Prize – One $50.00 Nitehawk Gift Card.

CSIA – PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The Professional Development Program (PDP) offers to the CSIA membership continuous updating on the latest innovative ski teaching methods. Take advantage of this service offered and be a professional by knowing what is happening in the world of ski teaching today. The accredited Level 4 Senior Instructor gives you all the information necessary to continue the development of your skiing including teaching tips on how to get better results with your classes.
GENERAL CONTENT OF THE PDP
- indoor and on-hill presentation – total session time approximately 3 hours
- more than half the on-hill session is spent on ski improvement with individual feedback
- maximum of 10 per class
