Comedy Night Saturday October 5, 2013 – Five-mile hall

Nitehawk would like to invite you to our 17th Annual Comedy Night Fundraiser; Saturday October 5 at the Five Mile Hall (5 miles east of the Crystal Centre on 100ave).

The evening will include: Comedy Presented by “The Laugh shop”, Full Buffet Dining, Bidding on our Great Silent & Live Auction Items.

Our Early Bird Price for a seat is $50 or $500 for a table of 10, bring your family, bring your friends, bring your staff, even bring your customers!  Comedy Night is the largest Fundraiser for Nitehawk Recreation Area, with all proceeds going towards hill improvements.

MOUNTAIN BIKE CAMPS (1,2)

 Juniors (ages  8 – 12) and  Youth (ages 10 -14)

Get ready to crank out some FUN with experienced and certified instructors from NITEHAWK Recreation Area.  Learn to ride hard and safe on trails and downhill and on skill testing features at camp.  Round out the week of camp with other exciting activities as swimming, archery, campfires, games, great food and more!  (We are adding a new Ropes Challenge Coarse, Giant Swing and a Double Zip line this year)!!

Note: Bike rentals for the down hill will be available at a minimum cost.

A race specific to emergency service responders (Fire fighters, Police, and EMS). This run will encompass the physical ability and competitive nature of our emergency service crews.

This will be a one day event where participants race through a 10-12 km course in teams or individually. The course will consist of roughly 10 obstacles including the mud pit, hurdles, tube crawling, climbing obstacles, balance beams, monkey bars, and many more!

The purpose is to challenge and test one’s physical ability in a new and exciting way.

This will be a fundraising event with the majority of proceeds going back to the charity of choice. There will be vendors and demonstrations at the event to add to the activities throughout the day. Gather your friends and family and come down to cheer on the local heroes of your community!

2013 Wolves Subway Summer Camps presents “Outdoor Adventure Camps” in collaboration with Nitehawk Recreation Centre.

The Camp is great for those youth interested in the outdoors and Mountain Biking. The camp days take place in the scenic Wapiti River Valley south of Grande Prairie hosted at Nitehawk Recreation Area. The week’s activities would include Trail Riding, Pump Track Riding, Down Hill Mountain Bike Training, Bicycle Maintenance Training, Swimming, Jumps, Races, Getting Dirty and Fun. Wednesday night during camp the campers will an opportunity to try out the Nitehawk Gravity bike Park. Fast, fresh air, fun!

2 camps will be offered this summer. Both camps are for children ages 7-14.
