The 09/10 Winter Season is close to an end with only 8 more ski/board days left, and thanks to Mother Nature, we’ve now got a few inches of fresh powder snow to enjoy. Nitehawk would like to remind everyone that we have lots of “man made” snow left on the North facing slopes of the Wapiti River, with extra having been made for the Arctic Winter Games.
Celebrate the end of a spectacular season…
This Saturday March 20 Nitehawk along with the “Bikehawks” bike club will be hosting the first of two “Downhill Mountain Bike 4-Cross” events, with the next event taking place on Saturday March 27. These races entail riding your bike on the snow through a series of jumps and turns, along with four other riders in your category. Registration will be $50 to compete in both races, or $40 for one race. This registration cost includes a one time mandatory fee for each racer, so they are covered under “Alberta Bike Assoc.” event insurance. Please note that once the ABA Insurance fee is paid, racers will then be covered for all events of the 2010 biking season.
Our year end SLUSH CUP will be taking place on Saturday, March 27. This is an excellent opportunity for you to sport your hottest look of the season at our hill, while trying to make it across the slush pond. Bet you can’t pass up on an opportunity like this, or at least the opportunity to enjoy watching those who are willing take their shot.
