Well another Winter Season has almost come to an end and what a great season it’s been. We couldn’t have asked for better weather, the Arctic Winter Games were a huge achievement 2 years in the planning, we hosted our first ever Provincial Freestyle Skiing Event, had the “Largest” turnout in the country for the RBC Riders Snowboard event, hosted another excellent Alpine EDGE to EDGE Competition, upgraded our snowmaking system, added 4000sqft to our chalet, and another first, we held both a Level 2 CASI and CSIA Instructor Course at Nitehawk.
Oh and who can forget the SLUSH CUP, with 98.5ft of Wapiti Slush, temperatures reaching +11, lots of willing participants and hundreds of spectators. All in all a busy and successful 2009/2010 Season, thanks to our Season Pass Holders, the skiing & snowboarding public and all our Partner Groups.
GUEST APPRECIATION – BONUS DAY of Riding
This Saturday April 3rd we will be hosting a “Guest Appreciation” Bonus Day, as our final day for the 09/10 season. To show our thanks we will be having FREE RENTALS all day (so bring your friends), cake, balloons for the kids, and other fun activities. We’ll also have the Arctic Winter Games mascot Aluk and the Coop Marketplace mascot Cooper the Bear on site to join in the fun. The BBQ will also be on, with Burgers, Smokies and Hotdogs for lunch. So come spend Saturday April 3 with your family at Nitehawk this Easter Weekend, we’ll be open from 10:00am to 5:00pm, and weathers supposed to be wonderful.
