Bike Park Update
Bike Park 2022 UPDATE:
We will be opening for our first shuttle serviced Bike Park Ride Night this Wednesday, June 15th, from 5:30-9:30pm.
Then we will get into regular operating (Wednesdays & Saturdays) next Wednesday June 22nd & Saturday June 25th.
Hello Grande Prairie & Region. We appreciate your patience & support as we continue to make Nitehawk a wonderful, community building Bike Park again. While things aren’t quite the same as before; we are still working hard to bring you safe, fun and challenging trails on the Westside of Nitehawk’s Bike Park.
Just as in previous years we ask that all riders “Pre-Ride, Re-Ride and then Free-Ride” the trails, to ensure they are free of any obstacles or hazards and to please obey all trail signs and any trail closures. Please remember that the bike trails at Nitehawk Bike Park do require at least a full Day or Two to dry out following any rain event, so please give them the time required to dry up,to prevent damage to the trails.
Getting Up Hill:
Wednesday Evenings (5:30-9:30pm/Dusk) & Saturday Afternoons (12:00-5:00pm) our 15 Passenger Van with Bike Trailer (designed by Aztec Engineering & fabricated/built by Sundown Oilfield Services) will be lapping from the bottom of Dirty Deeds/ Lower Green Leaf up to our lower chalet Parking Lot. Access to this shuttle service will be based on an Online Day Pass system available at gonitehawk.com. We will be pairing this shuttle service with our 600ft Conveyor Lift to get you up to the top of the hill with very minimal effort.
We will still have our slightly less popular, but incredibly environmentally friendly and healthy pedal power option available any time we are not offering Up Hill Assistance. Buy your Area Access Pass online gonitehawk.com and fill out our waiver to get after it at your discretion. Please note that our rider safety information board as well as our maintenance request board is located at the upper parking lot across from the maintenance shop.
Always ride with a buddy and within your limits.
During our Uphill Assist hours, we will have food and beverage services with simple and tasty offerings out of our cafeteria. Wings, fries, poutine and more will be here to fuel you up.
We will invite you out to help put some TLC into the trails. Offering incentives to any of our volunteers who come lend a hand. Please stay tuned to our Facebook page for announcements as we find a balance & schedule that keeps our trails in great shape. Dig Day sign-up sheet: https://forms.gle/5PeT9JFXyMUeX8yd8
Thank you again for your support as we work together to bring Biking back to the Nitehawk Bike Park. See you on the trails soon!
