Nitehawk and its TEAM of certified Ski and Snowboard Instructors want to help you have a fun and rewarding experience on the slopes! Our instructors are committed to sharing their love of the sport and to using their training to provide you with a positive snow sport experience. All programs, camps, and lessons are organized to recognize the needs of the student along with their age and ability.

“Nitehawk Ninjas” & “Wapiti Warriors” Program
(Ages 7 – 14)
Nitehawk Ninjas & Wapiti Warriors is a 7 week program that focuses on Ski/Snowboard improvement skills & hill safety, in a non-competitive environment. Your child will be working with a CSIA/CASI Certified Instructor for two (2) hours every Sunday.
Class sizes will have a ratio of no more than 8:1, if program enrolment allows, your child will be paired with other children of the same ability level. Your child will receive a report card certificate for completing the program.
These programs are best for LEVEL 2 to LEVEL 4 Skiers and Snowboarders, not for those that are new to the sport.. These programs are designed for independent youth from age 7 to 14.
Please Note: Minimum of 4 students required per group.

Parent & Tot Program 3 Week Program
(Ages 2–4)
Share the magic of winter sports with your child and join our new Parent & Tots program. This one-hour program is offered for three weeks and is designed to introduce your child to sliding sports (including tubing, strider bikes on skis, nature scavenger hunts, and even skiing or snowboarding on Bob’s Bump on the last day) with their favorite teacher…You!
We will also have one of our Nitehawk Snowschool Staff Members with the class to help guide each session.
This program is designed to introduce your littles to Nitehawk and all the fun they can have at the hill as they grow-up. Please Note: One parent must accompany every Tot.

2 Day School’s Out Camp
(Ages 7–14)
Whether your child is new to the slopes or a frequent visitor, this is a great way for them to spend their Christmas Break and Teacher’s Convention.
Camps run for a consecutive 2 full days with the same certified CSIA/CASI Instructor both days. Students will need to bring their own lunch.
Daily Schedule includes:
1.5-hours of instruction in the morning, then the Class will stop for each student to have time to enjoy their self-provided bagged lunch, followed by 2-hours of instruction that will continue in the afternoon; wrapping up with an hour of “Free-Ride” (cool down) with their instructor prior to pick-up.
These programs are best for LEVEL 2 to LEVEL 4 Skiers and Snowboarders, not for those that are new to the sport.. These programs are designed for independent youth from age 7 – 14.

3-Weekend Group Program
(Ages 7-9 or 10 -14)
Whether you’re a Beginner or Intermediate wanting to learn new skills and improve your overall technique this is a great way to learn.
Two solid hours with a certified CSIA/CASI instructor each day, in a program that is designed with your ability and pace in mind. As you progress, we can get you booked into the next level when you are ready.
The program runs 3 consecutive weeks and include 2 hours of instruction each week.
These programs are best for LEVEL 2 to LEVEL 4 Skiers and Snowboarders, not for those that are new to the sport. These programs are designed for independent youth from age 7 – 14.

Ladies Nite – Lesson Program
(Ages 17+)
Nitehawk is excited to offer this fun ladies night, which brings together the female Skiing and Snowboarding community with a perfect balance of learning and socializing.
Join our female CSIA/CASI Certified Instructors in a pressure free environment, to progress at your own pace, among fun and supportive peers.
This is a 4-week program that is offered on Thursday evenings with instruction from 7:00-8:30pm.
Please Note: Minimum of 4 students required per group.
Session I: January 11, 18, 25, February 1
Session II: February 22, 29, March 7, 14

Active for Life
Seniors 3 Week Ski or Snowboard Lesson Program
(Age 60 and up)
Be safe and stay fit- Join other active participants as you improve your snow sport skills. These sessions will be led by a “Senior” who has the same motives as you have, to stay healthy and active. Stay and socialize with the group with a bowl of soup, sandwich, and coffee for only $ 10.00 after your lesson.
Please Note: A minimum of 4 participants are required to run.

Cancellation Policy
Lessons will be cancelled if weather conditions force a hill closure or may be subject to rescheduling at the customer’s discretion if temperatures feel like -25 Celsius and below. Follow us on Facebook, view our website homepage, or call the Adventure school for updates at 780-532-6637. Lessons will be rescheduled for the following week at the same time.
Nitehawk does require at least 48 hours notice for any non-weather cancellations. This is to allow us enough time to cancel your Instructor.
Should 48 hours notice not be given, 50% of the lesson cost will be retained to cover Administration and Instructor wage costs.
Group Lesson Programs that are cancelled due to a weather forced closure may be made-up during the second or third week of a similar later camp. Should there not be any further camps that season, a pro-rated refund (total price paid divided by total weeks of program multiplied by weeks remaining) will be provided by the Administration upon request from the Customer. Camps will only be extended due to weather cancellations.

Never skied before, or not yet able to stop with confidence on a gentle slope |
Snowboard – Level 1
Never snowboarded before or requires hands on assistance to stop safely. |
| Ski – Level 2
Skied previously and can turn in control, comfortable using magic carpets. |
Snowboard – Level 2
Able to stop safely, are mobile on both toe and heel edges. (Side slipping, pendulum). Primarily using magic carpet and may progress to T-Bar. |
| Ski – Level 3
Can link turns on beginner runs. Beginning to ski parallel. Skills refined on beginner terrain and students will experience the T-Bar. |
Snowboard – Level 3
Can complete in control heel side and toe side turns on gentle terrain. Learning to link these turns together. |
| Ski – Level 4
Can ski green and blue runs on the chairlift. Stronger parallel skiing skills developed, and students explore steeper terrain. |
Snowboard – Level 4
Can link turns and control speed on green runs. Learning to turn with confidence on easy blue runs. Can use a T-Bar. |
| Ski – Level 5
Able to ski parallel on all blue and easy black runs with pole plant. Looking to further develop more challenging terrain and freestyle maneuvers.

Snowboard – Level 5
Can link turns in control on all blue runs and easy black runs. Developing skills to further challenge new terrain. Has some basic freestyle and is interested in riding the terrain park. |
| Ski – Level 6+
Confident skiing in control on all groomed terrain. Enjoys the challenge of skiing in more challenging terrain such as moguls, steeps, terrain park. |
Snowboard – Level 6+
Can snowboard in control on all groomed terrain and enjoys the challenge of more difficult terrain. Looking to develop freestyle skills and riding skills for more advanced terrain. |
Come wearing the following items for a successful lesson experience:
- Buff or face covering
- Goggles
- Base layers made of moisture-wicking fabric
- Winter jacket
- Waterproof snow pants
- Wool socks
- Gloves/mittens
- Neck warmer
- CWSAA approved Snow Sport Helmet (Included in rental)
- Snowboard boots or ski boots (Included in rental)
- Snowboard or skis and poles (Included in rental)
- Dress in layers so you can adjust your temperature for hill conditions and stay dry.
