Join us for The Leftover 5K on Friday, October 2nd, 2026.

Before Thanksgiving leftovers fill your fridge, we’ve got a different kind of leftovers to celebrate! Join us for the Leftovers 5K. A fun, laid-back trail run where every finisher earns a surprise medal from a past Nitehawk race. It’s going to be epic, and we guarantee you’re going to have a great time!

Our plan is simple: grab your running buddies (we’re sure you have a few!), head out on a self-timed 5K loop through the amazing Nitehawk Trails, and when you cross the finish line, you’ll get to choose one of our epic leftover medals.

There is one catch. We’re asking everyone to help support our community by bringing a donation of new or gently used gloves or mitts, hats, toques, or scarves, or a pair of new socks.

All donated items will go to local people in our community who need a little extra warmth this winter. As a thank you, everyone who brings a donation will automatically be entered to win a free entry into our new four-part trail series in 2027, that’s four 5K races throughout the year!

Bring your own snacks for this one! We’ll have water available, but we’re keeping this event simple (and affordable), so there won’t be any food provided beyond your well earned cookie.
