Nitehawk’s Cold Weather Policy…and how decisions are made when extreme cold temperatures are in the forecast.
Hill Operations
The hill may close if the “feels like” temperature, including wind chill, reaches –30°C or colder at any point during operating hours. If temperatures are forecast to warm up, we may delay opening until our half-day operating hours on Saturdays and Sundays rather than close for the entire day.
Lesson Programs
Lessons follow a –25°C “feels like” temperature cutoff, including wind chill, to help protect our participants, many of whom are young children. Lessons cancelled due to cold weather will be rescheduled. For multi-week programs, an additional lesson will be added at the end of the program. If temperatures are expected to warm up, morning lessons may be cancelled while afternoon lessons proceed as scheduled.
Aquatera Tube Zone
The Aquatera Tube Zone follows a –25°C “feels like” temperature cutoff, including wind chill. If the Tube Zone closes due to cold weather, tickets will receive a full refund, processed online within three business days. If you cancel your booking before Nitehawk announces a cold weather closure, a full refund may not apply.
