When do you open & close for the Winter Season?

Nitehawk typically opens between the 3rd week of November and 1st week of December, weather & snowmaking dependent. Our Winter Season typically wraps up on the last weekend of March or the first week in April.

What are your regular hours of Operation for the winter season?

Our regular Ski Hill hours of operation during the Winter Season are as follows:

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 5:30pm – 9:30pm

Saturday and Sunday: 11:00am – 6:00pm



Our regular Aquatera Tube Zone hours of operation are as follows:

Friday: 5:00pm-7:00pm & 7:30- 9:30pm

Saturday and Sunday: 12:00pm-2:00pm & 2:30-4:30pm

How do i get to nitehawk?

Nitehawk is located 17km (15 minutes) South of the City of Grande Prairie.

  • Take Highway 40 South of Grande Prairie and cross the Wapiti River Bridge.
  • As soon as you cross the bridge, make an immediate right-hand turn onto the Grovedale Exit.
  • You will come to a stop sign, turn left at the stop sign onto Secondary Highway 666.
  • Continue on Secondary Highway 666, past O’Brien Provincial Park, and up the Hill for approximately 4km. 
  • Nitehawk will be located on the right, and our Logo’d Driveway sign marks the entrance to our facility.

What is nitehawk's weather policy for really cold days?

Nitehawk’s cold weather policy for skiing and snowboarding is to close when the “feels like” temperature drops below -30 degrees celsius. 

For the Aquatera Tube Zone and Lesson Programs, the cutoff is when the “feels like” temperature drops below -25 degrees celsius. 

If a cold weather closure occurs, guests with pre-booked passes or lessons can either reschedule their visit at no extra charge or receive a rain check valid for the current season. Should you choose to cancel your booking due to the cold weather closure and request a refund, a 10% administrative fee will apply.

How much is an Adult/Youth/Junior/Senior day lift ticket?

I have a sNOWSTART KIDZ PASS from the canadian ski council, how do i use my 3 fREE day?

A certain number of tickets per day have been assigned to the SnowStart Kidz program. You will need to login to your account through the SnowStart Website and then book your visit to Nitehawk. You will need to show your SnowStart Kidz barcode from your booked day at the Ticket Office when you arrive to claim your childs lift ticket. 

Please note: An Adult Lift Ticket must be purchased to accompany the complimentary ticket provided to the child. Also, Snowstart Kidz Passes cannot be used for School Group visits to Nitehawk, as School Program lift tickets are already discounted.
